I've been going to the beach a lot more recently and I've realized how disgusting it is! Why is it that no one cares about the most important part of this world...our oceans?! I went to the tide pools not too long ago and saw how careless and rude people are, they do not throw their trash away, they walk past trash on the ground, they smoke cigarettes and put the butts out in the sand, glass and melted beer bottles in the sand and fire pits, and heck I even found a small baggy that I'm almost positive once contained illegal drugs sitting in the sand. So anyways, I try to pick up as much trash and garbage as I can on the beach and in the ocean, two days ago I even pulled a broken, plastic shovel out of the ocean! How can people have such a blatant disregard for the environment?! It's disgusting and disgraceful! So here's my question...aside from recycling (which I hope we all do) how do you do your part in helping to preserve our environment? As stated above, I pick up trash, always throw away my trash and I always try to respect where I'm at. Thank you and I look forward to hearing what you guys have to say! |
