I bought this JBJ 24g used Spring 2012 to put in my room. It needed a lot of cleaning up but all the basics worked fine except it needed a new return pump. I had it running for months with a crushed coral substrate and didn't like that. It also got a lot of hair algae that I couldn't get rid of so I gave up. I missed my tank and decided to try again but with sand this time. Mom put some of her live sand and some dry sand she had in my tank but still it needed more so added another 20lbs of live figi pink sand. This sand is pretty fine and still hasn't completely settled so I have been constantly cleaning the filter sponges. It finally finished the initial cycle and I have one green chromis in it. I'm thinking of putting the sandsifter I got a few weeks ago that is temporarily living in moms sump/fuge in a couple of days. The sand looks like is needs him
