Post subject:  Hello

Hello my name is alex, my wife amanda got me into salt water keeping about 3 years ago now. she always wanted a tank, we started with a 55 gal and just kinda went from there. we now have a 120gal and a 40B set up currently.

the 120 is a 4ft x 2ft x 2ft. it is currently bare bottom and i hate it lol. just looks un natural and we need more flow... im runnign a acrylic sump single chamber with about 20 lbs live rock rubble and a swc 160 cone skimmer, really neding to upgrade!, running a little giant 3 as a return pump, and also runnign carbon reactor. i am currently dosing 2cc of vodka a day and seeing great results with it. my lighting curently is only half finished, i have a apoolo reef dimmable unit over one half of the tank, controlled by a neptune apex jr. i then have a 48" t5ho dual bulb fixture stretched across the tank as well. hoping to be able to buy another fixture for the other side as this one came off the 40b when we set it up. fish consists of 5" sailfin tang, 4-5" vlamngi tang, 2 perc clowns i believe cant remember, lawnmower blenny, bi-color blenny, chalk basslet, red mandarin, red fin filament wrasse, green clown goby, and soon to be a yellow candy hogfish.

the 40b is currently runnign a very SIMPLE set up, 4x39w t5ho with ati bulbs, a deep 6" sand bed and about 50lbs of live rock with 2 current makers lol i know soudns crazy but been doing it like this for a year and just do weekly 5 gal water changes and having great success with it lol. we then have a vast celan up crew consisting of blue leg hermits, scarlet hermits, nasarius snails, cerith, and astraea snails. fish are a pink spot goby, pair of occelaris clowns, and a red pygmy goby, and a target mandarin.

i will post pictures later glad to be on the site and hope to post more soon!
