What kind of light are you running..
I have always been a T5HO person really liked the colors you could get from them and low heat and low power usage.
This tank I started out with 4x24T5 but then I built myself a 32 3w dimmable LED DIY fixture with a 16x7 heatsink. It was nice and super bright..but I did a 50/50 of Royale blue and Cool White 10k..that was my problem..I shoulda used NW areound 6500k and threw in like 2 660nm deep reds. The tank just looked washed out and flat in colors.
also the shimmer with that many LEDS makes it look like really fast nervous looking shimmer..not slow and relaxing looking..almost dizzying.
So I decided to sell it and picked up my current Kessil 15k ocean blue. Just this one light makes colors pop more and the tank doesnt look as flat.
